Kevin Na sets all-time PGA Tour putting record for “Length of Putts Made” in winning the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open for a second time.
Congratulations to Kevin Na for his two-hole playoff his win at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open and his fourth PGA Tour win.
Kevin not only made clutch putts on the two playoff holes, but also made 358 feet and 11 inches of putts during the four rounds, for a new Tour record. He shot a 62 on Friday to tie for the lead, and then did one of the hardest things to do in golf by following it up with an even better 61 on Saturday to take a two shot lead into Sunday.
Kevin first got a Putting Arc in 2005 as a young golfer who went from high school directly to the PGA Tour. He has been a loyal Putting Arc user over the years and during that time he has been recognized as having one of the best short games on Tour.
Again, congratulations, Kevin!
Congratulations also to Old Waverly’s own Emerson Blair, for her Southeastern Junior Golf Tour win at the Hattiesburg Country Club Junior classic last weekend. The West Point, MS junior golfer shot rounds of 75, 71 to claim the win. Emerson also won the inaugural Drive, Chip and Putt Tournament at Augusta several years ago, in the 7 to 9 year age division.
Finally, congratulations to the SJGT male winner in Hattiesburg, Kye Meeks of Walnut, MS. Kye shot rounds of 71, 68 for his win.
