Congratulations to Cydney Clanton and Jasmine Suwannapura for their great team win at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational. It was Cydney’s first LPGA win and Jasmine’s second. Both qualified for the LPGA’s next two majors, starting this week in France, and both now have a two year exemption on the LPGA Tour.
In this victory they recorded a best ball 59 the last day, with a string of five straight birdies on the front nine and six straight birdies on the back nine. Cydney became the first Auburn female golfer to win on the LPGA Tour.
Also, congratulations to Parker Highsmith of Valdosta, GA and Jada Richardson of Suwanee, GA for their win at the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour’s Harbor Club Junior Classic.
Parker shot rounds of 70, 70 and Jada shot 74, 71 to claim their wins.
